10 - 14 days after the birth of your baby your health visitor will arrange to meet you in your home to see how you and your new arrival are getting on. This is a good opportunity for you to ask any questions or raise any concerns. Your health visitor will be able to go through different things with you including any questions you may have about breastfeeding.
The advice is that you exclusively breastfeed for around the first six months of life. Following that you can begin to introduce new foods for them to try. Your health visitor will be able to advise you when it is time to add to your baby's diet.
