Once you have made the decision to breastfeed you might like to find out about the support available in your area. Finding your local breastfeeding support group can be an important part of your antenatal preparation and all of the groups listed on the Cherubs website welcome pregnant mums-to-be.
Breastfeeding support groups allow you to mix with other mums and meet with health professionals in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Support should also be available from health professionals before and after your baby arrives. Hospitals may have additional help in the form of peer supporters (mums who have already breastfed) and/or breastfeeding specialists on the ward who will be able to assist you as soon as your baby arrives.
As soon as you are discharged home Cherubs will be able to offer you a home visit so please ring the support-line to arrange this.
