Each morning that week, both midwives and peer supporters were
present in the Women's Health Unit at Leighton Hospital giving
advice and information to pregnant ladies interested in
breastfeeding. On Tuesday and Thursday breastfeeding
mums came together in the Cherubs Charter recognised
Polar Palace, Road One, Winsford Industrial Estate.
There they could talk to health professionals, exchange experiences
and celebrate the marvels of breastfeeding! Competitions
included "Guess the number of nipples in the jar" and "Guess the
name of the Teddybear"! Other agencies such as Homestart were
also in attendance.
Peer supporters and other health professionals also visited
Mothercare in Crewe and Macclesfield and a number of local
Children Centres to give out information, advice and talk to
mums about the Cherubs website.
In August it is World Breastfeeding Week and time for more
celebrations and events so watch this space!!
